The Position

We are looking for a UI Designer to develop clean, visually appealing designs for desktop, web and mobile applications within the medical technology space. You are someone who is able to balance work across multiple products, are able to collaborate with cross functional teams and have a true interest in learning about medical technology and the products Intellijoint Surgical is producing.


As a snapshot, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong UI design experience where you have translated complex workflows into easy to use UI’s
  • Is flexible and resourceful, possessing a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and needs
  • Has a genuine interest in medical technology, wanting to learn about the innovation we are developing

Position

Main Duties:

  • Develop clean, usable UI designs, along with the required asset generation, for both native and web based applications
  • Actively collaborate with product management and product development teams as a means of understanding and articulating requirements
  • Create wireframes to get early feedback on workflows and designs, making changes when necessary
  • Generate high fidelity mock ups and visual assets using sketch and InVision
  • Create and maintain design systems
  • Practice iterative design with tight feedback cycles

Required Skills

Skills and Experience to Enable Success:

  • 2+ years of experience with UI design
  • Post-Secondary education relating to human computer interaction, digital design or a related program
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail, with the ability to translate requirements into output
  • Strong understanding of UI design principles
  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Experience with Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Illustrator
